The Fitzrovia Partnership team met with Westminster Council’s new Waste Action Squad before Christmas to discuss waste in the Fitzrovia area as part of their engagement with the local community. As a result, the Council has carried out some deep cleansing of the pavement in areas that have experienced regular dumping of waste and has committed to creating a plan to control and manage residential waste across the 10 waste hot spots. Westminster Council will also identify AirBnB properties and work with the hosts to educate users of these facilities. We will continue to report dumped waste and support the Council to improve the cleanliness of West Fitzrovia.
